ABOUT NAFTALY KADOSH
Naftaly Kadosh was born in Afula, Israel.
He graduated from the Ulpan Hamadrichim (course for Israeli folk dance
teachers) and led a large session in Kfar Saba before coming to New York. While
studying for his degree at Queens
College, he took a
classical music course and learned how to analyze musical compositions.
This contributed to his choreographic and teaching styles. He
has also choreographed for the Queens performing group, "Lahat" which
participated in the Israel
Folk Dance Festival. For over 25 years, Naftaly's original mixture of
social style couple dances and ethnic circle dances appeals to both new and
veteran dancers everywhere and has distinguished him as one of the most
prolific and best loved choreographers in the Israeli folk dance field.
Naftaly has directed and been featured at Israeli dance camps in the United States
and throughout the world.
